The aim is to develop a robust computational tool for predicting microstructure and final properties as well as optimizing process parameter and alloy design in multi-step processing or multi-pass rolling of complex phase steels.


Chunhui Luo presents the initiative during the 2017 conference

This could be achieved through the development of an integrated material processing and microstructure model based on FEM and CALPHAD method. Finally, an industry oriented software that enables to calculate temperature, strain, strain rate, stress, recovery, recrystallization, precipitation and phase transformation in material processing is expected to be delivered to Swedish Steel Companies.
